An ode to two of my greatest loves, sailing and my dearest friend Nell.
A sweet little blouse with a sailor collar and buttons down the front made from shells.
Comes in 100% slightly sheer nettle.
China Grass:
This garment is made of 100% Ramie also known as China Grass, derived from the Stinging Nettle plant. As a crop, this fibre is naturally resistant to bacteria, rot, fungi, and other pests. This means farmers can grow it without pesticides or insecticides. The plant’s natural pace of propagation and growth is remarkably fast; therefore, sustainable and profitable Ramie farming does not necessarily need chemical fertilisers and is biodegradable.
Though it looks delicate, Ramie is durable and can be machine washed on gentle and doesn't require special care. Line dry in shade to maintain the colour which is batch dyed in my studio with low impact dyes.
100% Hemp:
Hemp is uv resistant, biodegradable, antimicrobial, antibacterial. It uses 80% less water than conventional cotton and produces 250% more fibre per hectare than cotton.
Cold and gentle machine or hand wash. Do not tumble dry.
